CASE® Sources Get More Transparent

CASE® provides both a specification to outline how skills, standards, and competencies can be published in a machine readable way by issuing agencies and protocol for retrieving the data via an API:

• Now our platform makes the data source more visible via tiles on the map view of the framework index, helping visitors easily view the CASE® publisher of the data, and identify where the data originates from.

• On many tiles, Common Good Learning Tools is listed as the CASE publisher which means that we serve on the behalf of the issuing agencies until they are ready to host, maintain, and convert on their own.

  • We hope that this clear labeling helps to better demonstrate both our commitment to empowering more issuing agencies by giving them a head start on converting their documents into CASE® and the scope of work funded by the annual registration fee collected from edtech suppliers.

Registered users benefit from the ability to use our Satchel platform, view framework update reports, opt-in to notifications, access the CASE REST API, download a normalized version of the data via JSON/API, generate a Best Practices Report, and schedule consultation & technical support from Common Good Learning Tools.
