Math Skills Map from Montana
Big news for Montana educators: the Montana Mathematics Content Standards (2026) now include a fully integrated Math Skills Map!
The Montana Office of Public Instruction and New Classrooms partnered to layer 300 classroom-ready skills written in clear "I will..." language directly onto Montana's existing math standards, including new Math Skills learning progressions and resources.
The result: nearly 2,000 new connections (learning progressions) and skills associated directly to standards, so educators can see exactly how mastery builds year over year and instructional leaders get a ready-made tool for vertical alignment and targeted intervention.
For curriculum and assessment partners, the framework is published in open, interoperable CASE format which means skill-level alignment, precise item tagging, and adaptive pathway design are now possible right out of the box.

North Carolina Goes ALL IN with CASE®
The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction is an official CASE® publisher, and their Satchel publishing instance shows what that commitment really looks like: 70+ frameworks covering ELA, Math, CTE, Health, PE, World Languages, Student Success, Fine Arts, and all as structured, interoperable, source-of-truth data.

Career and Workforce Skills meet CASE®!
CASE®, the interoperability format used to make K-12 standards machine-readable, is now extending into workforce and continuing education with the recent conversion of the ANSI/IACET 1-2018 Standard for Continuing Education and Training. The International Association for Continuing Education and Training’s (IACET) new CASE-formatted resource opens the door for higher ed, HR teams, and badge/credential issuers to reference, compare, and connect competency data across systems.

CASE®'s Promise Fulfilled
CASE's Promise Fulfilled: During the Learning Impact conference Common Good Learning Tools (CGLT) and our partners report major growth in adoption of the CASE® standard (Competencies and Academic Standards Exchange) to increase equity, access, and interoperability.
Highlights:
Adoption is accelerating: CASE-publishing states grew from 7 in 2023 to 21 in 2026, with the Satchel Rosetta Exchange now hosting over 1,100 frameworks that are free to the public.
Publishing is getting easier: CGLT has built more affordable on-ramps for issuing agencies to move standards from static PDFs into live, interoperable data.
Platform adoption has broadened: Major SIS/LMS providers (Infinite Campus, PowerSchool, Canvas, Google Classroom) now support CASE. CASE consumer registrations from companies have increased 40% since 2024, and free public registrations are up 70%.
New applications for CASE are emerging: CASE is now expanding beyond K-12 standards into new data types like HQIM rubrics, course catalogs, and career skills.

Realignment at Scale: When CASE® Meets AI in Alabama
Learn how Alabama’s ALEX Learning Object Repository uses CASE®-managed standards and the Satchel Rosetta Align system to streamline large-scale standards realignment. We’re rolling out a suite of accessibility enhancements that make Satchel and Cureum simpler, faster, and more inclusive to use. From smoother keyboard navigation to improved screen reader support and refreshed components, these updates strengthen our foundations while keeping your workflows and data just the way you expect.
States publish crosswalks to WIDA
Alaska added crosswalk correspondences from their Core 4 subject area standards to the WIDA standards which are now available on Satchel Rosetta Exchange. With this latest update, Alaska educators, and the organizations that serve them, can better support multi-lingual learners to access content. Congrats to Alaska for being a trend setter along with Georgia, Idaho, and Virginia in making their standards even more accessible!

Star Autism Support (a CASE Consumer) has collaborated with Common Good Learning Tools to convert and review the CASEL SEL framework into CASE.
Dynamic Learning Maps Essential Elements Available in CASE®
Idaho Department of Education (a CASE Publisher) has added Dynamic Learning Maps Essential Elements making it easy for any CASE publisher to make their own associations (crosswalks) to state content frameworks.
CASE® Early Learning Frameworks
Frog Street has recently partnered with Common Good Learning Tools to jointly CASE® publish all remaining early learning frameworks for all 50 states onto CASE Network. Frog Street currently leverages Satchel as a CASE® publishing tool for creating their skills spine and crosswalking to state frameworks to make their content available to all early learners.
CASE® + Google Classroom
Google announced at ISTE 2025 that educators will soon be able to connect state standards and competencies to learning goals directly within Google Classroom, thanks to the integration of CASE® frameworks. This innovation makes it easier to align assignments with specific skills and provide targeted feedback, shifting the focus from grading to genuine learning. A collaborative effort involving 1EdTech™, Google, and Common Good Learning Tools aims to inspire more states and framework authors to become CASE® publishers. CASE® Network grows
Google has partnered with Common Good Learning Tools to expand the number of CASE®-published frameworks for all 50 states on CASE Network to include Computer Science, World Languages, Physical Education, and Health Education.
