Accessibility Enhancements

We’re introducing a suite of accessibility enhancements to make our products simpler, faster, and more inclusive for everyone. Our most recent product release strengthens our applications' foundations, expands assistive technology support, and elevates usability across the Satchel and Cureum platforms used by issuing agencies and school districts.

What’s new

  • Efficient keyboard navigation - Satchel and Cureum users can now rely on keyboard shortcuts, arrows, and keys (like Tab, Enter, Space) to move smoothly through their workflows. Easily keep track of where you are in the application with an improved keyboard focus visual.

  • Expanded screen reader support - Satchel and Cureum users will find precise labels, roles, and announcements for better usability with screen readers.

  • More consistent experiences - Users will find refreshed, accessible components for predictable interactions across our products.

Why it matters

By removing barriers, we help more people do their best work; whether using a screen reader or navigating with a keyboard. It’s also about reliability: predictable patterns reduce cognitive load and make everyday tasks faster.

What stays the same

Popular workflows and data remain intact. Most visual updates are subtle and focused on clarity, consistency, and resilience. Where changes are more noticeable, they’re designed to feel familiar and intuitive.

How we approached this work

We aligned to modern accessibility best practices and applied improvements at the component level so the experience is more consistent across our products.

What you can do now

  • Try keyboard-only navigation in Satchel or Cureum to explore improved focus order and shortcuts.

  • Share feedback from your team’s accessibility reviews so we can continue refining.

  • Users creating content in Satchel and Cureum have the option to add alt text for any images that convey meaning throughout the platforms. For our latest prodcut update, we have generated basic alt text for any images without alt text already.

Our commitment

We see accessibility as part of our continuous improvement development cycle and not just a one time project. Learn more here: https://commongoodlt.com/accessibility
