States publish crosswalks to WIDA

Alaska added crosswalk correspondences from their Core 4 subject area standards to the WIDA standards which are now available on Satchel Rosetta Exchange.

Alaska offers their educators additional supplemental information, notes, and WIDA correspondences for their standards to provide more context for teaching and learning. For example, in the image above, a standard for a High School Physical Sciences course displays notes about a Clarification Statement and Assessment Boundary to provide more focused instructional guidance as well as a connection to the relevant WIDA language expectations standards to support multi-lingual learners.

Alaska is now the fourth state joining Georgia, Idaho, and Virginia to use our Satchel product to leverage CASE® associations to enhance the connections (typically referred to as crosswalks) between their state standards and WIDA. It’s exciting to see more and more states make their standards more accessible with direct connections to important frameworks that educators rely on like ACT, Dynamic Learning Maps, ISTE, retired frameworks or newly adopted frameworks, WIDA, and more.

CASE® is a set of guidelines established by the 1EdTech™ community for making competencies and standards interoperable in online ecosystems and easy to access.
